Harvest Moon Friends
In alphabetical order, so as to offend noone.
amaretto and coke is a fanfiction.net author whose story Bittersweet Chocolate involves the most impressive atmospherics I've ever seen in a fanfic. Kinda like tone prose. She is also an excellent artist. That she was also a great fan of Heart Fades to Black perhaps did not hurt her in my estimation.
Farmer Jen is a heck of a fan fiction writer and a pretty cool lady to boot. Her reviews have kept me both grammatically unchallenged and greatly amused starting from the earliest days of Haven From the Storm. Her series of tragic shorts, Betrayal, is IMHO her best and certainly gave me the guts to go with Heart Fades to Black. And she is now keeping a web journal. I expect truly great things from her in the future.
flame mage is not exactly a friend, but I am a great admirer of her work. Her story Wine Red no Kokoro is IMHO one of the very best Harvest Moon fictions ever done and inspired me to write Haven From the Storm. She also maintains a shrine to Harvest Moon 64 Karen which has lots and lots of good stuff about Karen. If I ever got a review from flame mage for any of my stories, I think I would melt into a puddle of joyful ooze right there in front of the machine (hint, hint.)
JustWrite is a recent but already valued and admired member of the HM fanfic community. Her maiden effort The Perish Flower ...well, it would be unfair to say it shows promise. It does of course, but it's just plain good. She is also a talented artist and web designer. She has generously provided us with the beautiful graphic gracing the upper left hand of the forum's pages. What can I say but "way to go!" and keep on creating.
Red Sonic is a highly prolific, imaginative and energetic author of Harvest Moon fanfics - and a lot of other things also. His superbly imaginative story The Valentine Conspiracy is currently the longest (200+ kwords) and most reviewed HM fanfic at fanfiction.net. He's been a great encouragement to me with his reviews and his stories - which I have shamelessly stolen ideas from. He's a dedicated and reasonable Christian man. And he also has forgotten more about professional wrestling than I've ever known. Red, just the luck of the draw that I mentioned you last, but I still think you're the champ.
